Corbin Shaw on Eva Dixon
To coincide with the creation of our limited edition, we asked Corbin Shaw to write a text on Eva Dixon’s practice.
a window, a cross, a box, a portal. let me get under your skin and wear it. This stupid macho suit. in tarp, hessian, canvas, and steel. keep me in. keep me down in a fluorescent ratchet strap. wrapped around me, a piece of steel on a pallet crate. signs of wear, badges of honour. petrol powered, diesel dirtbox, sandworm, sandbox. beer sweat and piss in a nice neat little scooner after a days hard work. seams bursting on my 501s. i can’t take the strain.
