Magazine cut-outs on paper, glue, automotive paint, sealant

6 × 6 inches

Following a return to drawing, this series of collages was made as an immediate response to events in Dixon’s life, both personal and political. Though collage Dixon found a way to make work that was playful and immediate, made in their living room, in front of the TV. Using around 80 ‘lads’ magazines sourced from eBay and Vinted, the collages are humorous inversions of gender, sport, automotive culture and pornography.
